Social entrepreneurship and inclusive business

If we analyze poverty, a large part of the economic fabric is based on small family businesses, which contribute to job creation and economic and social development.

.

Almost half of the world, more than 3 billion people, live on less than $ 2.50 a day. There is a continuing gap between the rich and the poor. The poorest 30% of the world's population represents 5% of global income, while the richest 20% represents 75% of world income.

At AFROESTUDANTES we believe that both small, medium and large companies that make up the productive fabric of the communities where we work, have a fundamental role in the fight against poverty. For this reason, we involve our productive programs as companies, as a sustainability strategy, to generate new job opportunities and market access, or to provide products and services that improve the quality of life of our beneficiaries. We do it through:

  • The creation and strengthening of associative companies in urban and rural areas, which once strengthened, are competitively inserted into local and international value chains.

  • The development of inclusive supply chains, hand in hand with local or international companies that include our beneficiaries in their business, such as suppliers or distributors.

  • The transfer of technical knowledge from the company to the communities, so that they can improve their competitiveness and access formal sales channels that guarantee an increase in income in the long term.
