Food safety

FOR A TRUE SOCIAL CHANGE THE MAIN THING IS TO WORK FOR FOOD SECURITY OF HUMAN BEINGS

About 11% of the world's population is undernourished.
Ensuring access to sufficient and nutritious food for all people globally requires changes in the global food and agriculture system.
Did you know that one in nine people in the world today is undernourished? That is 795 million people. Asia is the continent with the hungriest people, 2/3 of the total. That equates to 67%.
Agriculture is the world's largest employer and provides livelihoods for 40% of the world's population. If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry people in the world could be reduced by 150 million.
Doing well, agriculture, forestry and fisheries can provide nutritious food for all humanity and generate decent income, while supporting people-centered urban and rural development and protecting the environment an urgency for humanity to to be able to ensure the subsistence of future generations.
Right now, our soils, fresh water, oceans, forests, and biodiversity are rapidly degrading. Climate change is putting even more pressure on the resources we depend on, increasing the risks associated with disasters, such as droughts and floods. Many rural women and men can no longer make ends meet on their land, forcing them to migrate to the cities in search of opportunities.
Investments in agriculture are crucial to increasing agricultural productivity capacity and sustainable food production systems are needed to help alleviate the dangers of hunger.
To mitigate these great scourges and improve living conditions in urban and rural areas, AFROESTUDIANTES provides technical assistance and training in nutritional aspects to families, producers, facilitating access to goods and services that improve productivity, agricultural diversification, and adaptation of crops to climate change.
